AI for Business opens assessment beyond engineering. Every Codility assessment has run through a coding lens until now, which left business and non-technical roles out of reach, along with the AI-readiness skills every team is trying to measure. AI for Business is a different kind of task entirely: written, business-style problems on a simplified editor, with no code involved, scored through deterministic analysis against a defined answer key, not graded by an open-ended AI model. Interview environments add Next.js and R. A dedicated Next.js environment brings server-side rendering and testable API routes to frontend assessments, and R closes a long-standing gap for data and analytics roles. Live in Interview.
AI-Native Tasks
LiveTraditional coding assessments test candidates in a stripped-down editor, often with AI turned off entirely, the opposite of how engineers build now. AI-native tasks close that gap: candidates either build an AI or ML system themselves, or work alongside an AI assistant that’s designed to get things wrong sometimes, so the assessment can tell whether they caught it.
Why It Matters
- One signal, two ways to test it: some tasks ask a candidate to build the AI or ML-based system itself; others embed an AI assistant as a co-worker that gets things wrong, sometimes on purpose, so the candidate has to catch it, the skill that matters more than knowing how to prompt.
- The signal is judgment, not access: anyone can turn on an AI assistant. The harder skill is knowing when to trust it, when to double-check it, and when to overrule it, and that is what these tasks surface.
- AI-optional by design: a companion set of project-style VS Code tasks ships alongside the same release, realistic multi-file work that stands on its own with or without an assistant enabled.

Why It Matters
- One faithful record, not two: VS Code task details, solutions, and environment context are now embedded in the PDF, with downloadable multi-file solutions for VS Code and basic IDE tasks.
- Nothing left out: integrity risk, the integrity widget, full proctoring summaries, code health, AI Assistant and Copilot transcripts, follow-up questions, and skills evaluations now all appear in the download, alongside a new Excalidraw whiteboard section.

Next.js and R Join the Interview Environment Library
LiveInterview’s VS Code environments expanded to cover two gaps candidates and interviewers had run into. A dedicated Next.js environment now supports server-side rendering and API route testing, and R is available as a sandbox environment for data and analytics roles.
Why It Matters
- Frontend candidates get a production-like environment: server-side rendering and API routes are now testable directly in the IDE, where the basic editor previously limited or blocked some frontend and full-stack interviews.
- Data and analytics roles get proper coverage: R was heavily requested, and now every feature already supported for other environments works for R too.

Codility Screen
AI Follow-Up Questions and AI Candidate Feedback
Open previewBoth features move out of limited access and into extended Preview, available in every package with no separate enablement request.
Why It Matters
- Available in account settings, not a support ticket: turn either feature on yourself, no package change required.
- Off by default: not every account permits AI use on the platform, so both features start disabled, and an admin chooses to turn them on.
- Existing setups are unaffected: accounts that already had either feature configured keep their current settings.

Platform Improvements
Smaller releases that reduce friction across the platform.
Live- Greenhouse integrations consolidate: Codility Advanced Screen and Codility Advanced Interview are now the single supported path for Greenhouse customers, with Harvest OAuth replacing legacy API key authentication. Legacy Greenhouse integrations and legacy Harvest API key authentication retire August 31, 2026.
- Task details show the additional database services used in an interview: Redis, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB now appear directly in task details when used. Available in Preview.
- A roomier Interview interface: visual updates across Interview give more usable space and a more consistent layout, with no change to functionality.
- A richer Sessions API: GET /api/sessions/ now offers three new opt-in fields, explicit session status, proctoring signals, and invite expiration date, with the inviter included by default.
- Session export in Skills Intelligence: program owners and admins can export assessment session data directly from the platform, no more requesting a data pull.
