What to expect
Before you start
Your invitation shows the time limit and the deadline. The intro page explains the tasks and the rules, including whether you can use AI, before the timer starts. You can open the link now and start later, as long as you finish before the deadline.
Try a practice test
Take a free 30-minute demo task to get used to the coding environment before the assessment that counts. You can edit, run and test your code as many times as you like before you submit.
Check your setup
Use an up-to-date version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera or Safari. Some assessments ask you to install the Codility app first, and your invitation tells you if yours does.
Using AI
Some tasks allow the AI Assistant and some do not. The intro page tells you which. When AI is allowed, every prompt and response is saved for the hiring team to review.
Accessibility and extra time
The platform meets WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines, works with screen readers and keyboard navigation, and has an accessibility mode with up to 400% zoom. If you need extra time or another accommodation, ask the hiring team before you start.
Your results
Your answers are scored and sent to the hiring team, and the team makes the hiring decision. Whether you see your results depends on the company that invited you.
Need help during your assessment?
The candidate help center answers common questions about links, time limits, scoring and technical problems. Questions about the role or your application go to the company that invited you.
